New York isn’t exactly shy of places to eat pizza. So, for a family-owned pizza restaurant to have remained open for over six decades, you know that they’re doing something right in the dough department. And one second after stepping into Valley Stream’s Genovese restaurant, you’ll understand why this is. This is exceptional pizza, authentically hand-made following old Sicilian recipes brought over by Gustavo Genovese himself in the mid-1960s. It’s a cozy, simple restaurant, with the emphasis placed on the food, which is simply superb.
